Beautiful DD. Truly a work of art with colors in motion.

A clean canvas and a clean cup. Good way to start the day.

My cameras will do far more than I know so I just leave them on full automatic. All my photos are processed with Corel Paintshop Pro x8. It will do things I can't even imagine but all I use is contrast and light and dark, plus an occasional straightening or sizing.

Thanks. I have a Canon Rebel T3i with 50mm, EFS 18-55mm, EF 55-250mm, and EF 70-300mm lenses. I also have a Sony Cyber-shot.

DD, what kind of camera and lenses do you have? You get really good results. I never replaced my old Nikon 35mm and of course the lenses are also worthless now too. Getting tired of the "point and shoot" and thinking of indulging myself again.

Thanks. I've heard of it, but never seen it. That explains the lens too.

That is a Cholla cactus, also called a jumping cactus because if you get even close.....

What is that blooming at the bottom?

Tamiya masking tape works great also. I used it on the B-29. It is a little pricey here in Canada, well everything is pricey in Canada especially hobbies 😊

I have used Pactra masking tape in 1/8" and 1/16" widths for years and it was used here except for the rear which was masked with regular Scotch transparent tape. Pactra is no longer being made so I don't know what I'll use when what I have is gone. However, type in painters tape in Amazon and you'll see there are hundreds of choices. All masking tape needs to be pressed down as close to the surface as possible before painting. I use the rounded tip of a small brush. A crochet hook works. Those things you bought to make rivets are perfect. The silver has several coats of paint and when the tape is removed there's a slight ridge. That allows it to be used as a guide when painting the red so no masking tape was used for the silver.

It will have some but certainly not all those.

Thanks. I didn't know the reason, I just paint'em as I see'em.

They'd just mess up that pretty white finish.

Really clean, crisp lines between colors. Great job. What type of masking tape? Did you simply peel off the tape and use as is? Or did you cut a sharp edge with a straight edge first?

Looks absolutely stunning Mr. DD. Really enjoyed looking at your work of art up close. Decals look great. Noted you painted the leading edges of the wings silver. Nice crisp lines. Great job. Many people may not know that the Navy painted the leading edges of their aircraft a special coat of silver to protect from the corrosive effects of the marine environment.
