Keep drinking that cheap whiskey and anything's possible.

If you hung this on a west wall would it become a sunset painting?

Waiting for decals...

I painted over the ugly cactus in the sunrise painting.

You're not alone.

Can I borrow some chalk, Dave?...I've used mine up..twice
David Duckett, Comment for image # 4056401 Oct 18 20:04
Thank you. It is an industrial training kit, same as the F-80, and while I like the way it looks, it will always nag me that it's wrong. I can forgive myself if I make a mistake and just chalk it up to being a dumb ass.

David, was this kit in their Industrial Training line? I think those were less concerned about scale, and more about...I don't really know. But all were to have about a 36" wingspan. You made it look really nice.

I have a 1/48 scale Revell plastic model of this being used as a reference and a Telasco kit of the Cougar at about 1/15 scale. Comparing them I found that the Cleveland kit is even more off than the previously mentioned jet intakes. This kit has a fuselage shaped more like an oval than the circle it should be and you can see how slim it is. The Cougar will have the correct shape.

Thanks for the critique. Almost all my paintings could be called still life because there is hardly ever any movement in them except for the colors. The spectacular colors of sunrises and sunsets only last a short time. There was not a sound when the photo was taken.

one other thing - I never read your description until now yet knew this was a sunrise and not a sunset..you have a gift buddie
heywooood, Comment for image # 4061628 Sep 18 22:35
all of these images you have created have a calm and meditative quality to them, Dave that cannot be overstated. I have been in Ocotillo and Joshua Tree at sunrise many times in my life and this one captures the look AND feel of those mornings to the point I can smell the dry, cool air and sage

Thank you. This is based on a photo I took when I lived in the country.

I never realized the rear fillet was that big! Just like the Banshee isn’t it.

Well that's too bad. But you know, given the beautiful job you've done, I'll bet most people won't even notice.
