The Panthers and William Holden. Been waiting to see this one again. It looks good. Is it their usual 1/16th scale? |

I was 13 when the movie Bridges at Toko-Ri was released and while I don't remember the story, I do remember the Panthers. It has been a favorite ever since. |

I started working on it again a couple of days ago, adding the wood for the canopy and gluing the horizontal stabilizer and rudder in place. |

| DD, did you ever build this one? I just ordered the plans from Cleveland. Had them shrink to 1/24 scale(19" wingspan). I also enlarged the Comet plans to 1/24. Either one of them will be better, or I'll combine them. |

| I received the canopy in yesterday's mail. Thanks. I figured out the discrepancy with the canopy. The Cleveland kit is in their "Flight Engineered" series. All planes in that series have 30" wings. That would scale their Panther to 1/15.2 scale. The canopy was designed from the laser kit I've been designing forever. That kit is 1/16 scale. I laid the half model I have built over the Cleveland plans and my model is about 1" longer than the Cleveland model. So the canopy (obviously) won't work. But the tanks look nice on yours. |
