Sweet! Going to do a natural metal finish or one of the neat camouflage jobs like the N. Vietnam AF used?
David Duckett, Comment for image # 3289620 Jan 15 10:23
Thanks, John.

Covering is complete and it's now ready for several coats of dope and painting.

The wings have been glued on with spacers under each wing tip. The fin is now glued in place with the bottles insuring proper alignment.

What lens is this with, David?

It's sitting directly under a light, no flash is ever used. Dumas makes several clear plastic pieces in addition to canopies and all have the blue plastic film on both sides.

I believe all Dumas kits have a removable blue tint plastic which protects it from scratches.

Looking good! The canopy looks frosted or it that just the glare from the flash?

Great work as usual!

Nice weather has allowed me to get outside to dope the planes in work. This is wet covered heavy grade silkspan attached with nitrate dope. As it all dries it shrinks to fit and the excess is trimmed away.

Thanks, Moostang!

Color hues captured perfectly. Simple but I love it.

It's called patience and persistence.
