rayl, Image # 32792 | 08 Jan 15 16:53 | Starting the process of planking. I had several bottles of CA glue from our local Hobby Lobby which I used to glue up the formers and longerons. When I took the clamps loose, everything fell apart! A two hour drive to Sioux Falls to the LHS to get some fresh CA solved the problem. I'm using 3/32" X 1/4" strips for planking. I plan on planking the entire upper half of the fuselage before removing teh assembly from the jig. |

That being said, I ve actually been working on this thing for about a month, so there will be lots of pictures intially. Here are all of the formers, of 1/8" ply except for the main wing spar which is 1/4' BAltic Birch ply. Cut them out on my bandsaw and sanded them round on my spindle sander. |
