Unfortunately my decal didn't turn out that well. I think I should have used decal paper with white background. |

Don; First glance, I thought that it was your Laird in the foreground and was going to compliment you on the nice "Laird Planes (Chicago)" decal on the side. |

Huey, look in the background. This is the New England Air Museum. |

Thanks Ray and Creosotewind. Creosotewind - if you get on that Mystery ship (Which I think this one was built to challenge), you,Huey and I have the makings of a race. |

Cute little bugger. Really nice job on the engine & prop. The treads on the tire are a nice touch. |

Thanks. It's a Cleveland plan, 1/16 scale. Wingspan is 16.5" |

Don - thanks for posting your whole, very compelling, "Speedwing" build, and the excellent sunlit baby pics from all angles. I really enjoyed it. Now you've got me researching the plane, the 1930 Thompson Race, and the pilot, C. W. "Speed" Holman. |

I really like the unique sliding canopy and side windows, and that characteristic upper wing. Great subject to model. |

Don - that plane has "style" - the more I look at it, the more it grows on me. What is the wingspan and scale and what plan did you use to scratch build it? |

And finally, the new default picture. |

Last Woodsman - You're right. This thing is pretty much a flying motor. Averaged 201.9 mph in the 1930 Thonpson Trophy race |

Thanks guys. Huey, the prop is 6.5 inches- which should make it 8' 9" on the real thing. |

Very nice! Hay, what's the diameter of that prop? |

Very fine Don. The Glass turned out just fine IMHO. |

Don - I meant to say, it looks very powerful with that big detailed Wasp "peeking out" - looking forward to more pics |
