| First make a cardboard silhouette of the Lewis gun in a scale to match the plane. Then build the mounting mechanism to match the size of the gun. I have been working bass ackwards. |

| Looking at this attempt we are not pleased. I shall tear this apart tomorrow and try again. We have never attempted a gunnery pit before, as such, we are in midst of a learning process. |

Gumby will have to stay here until the Baboon is finished. We must see this build thru to completion. If I shelf it till fall I will forget too much and be forced to relearn the techniques. This happen when I started this build after almost a two year hiatus. |
