That's it! Good one!

The doctor is in. Please take a magazine off of the rack and wait until called! The magazines only held 40 rounds and relied on gravity to drop cartridges into the gun. Lewis guns would not function inverted nor could they be outfitted with an interrupter cam/gear to permit firing through a prop.

Water bottle cap!

John that ammo magazine looks familiar ...?

Working on the gunners pit. Magazine racks for extra 40 round Vickers magazines.

Yep, we've entered the " Old Fart Zone." LOL (I'm from the same era.)

That is just great, sir. By the way, I learned to drive on a '56, later wrecked a '53 and early in the marriage had a '52 with the first "powerslide" - what a tank!

Putting friends in the trunk then going to a drive in movie. We were such holligans!

$0.18/gal when the gas war was on, Schiltz or Blatz beer ($1.50 for a case) and a carload of hooligans. Sigh.

Rayl. Thanks. '54 Chevy, sweet. I had a 53 with three on the tree and a 56 that I put 3 on the floor. Those days I would buy a dollars worth of gas, get a free drinking glass, and drive all night!

Purrty nice John. The stick reminds me of the shifter in my '54 Chevy :-).

The joystick, floor, and rudder pedals are seperate from the seat. First the floor slides into the pit, followed by the seat.

All cockpit components were made to slide together. They did!
John M Oshust, Image # 3808408 Mar 17 15:01

A good day. All components fitted together with nary a swear word!

Gumby is moving into the cockpit this day. I photographed the throttle quadrant and linkage prior to installation.

Haven't had a chance to say HELLO yet this season, John... HELLO!
John M Oshust, Image # 3808107 Mar 17 12:32

Gumby and Pokey eyeball their efforts!

The gunner's seat
