I think all is working again now. Please leave a comment on a photo somewhere if something you need is not working still.

Hey John, yes, new electronics. Actually, the motor seemed to survive OK, so did the camera control module. All the rest is new, especially the servos, receiver, etc. Got my new camera today too. I got a factory refurbished Pentax Optio S10 for $120 from eBay.

Beautifully crafted!

Progress so far. Just about ready for covering.

Detail on setting the dihedral.
jgood, Image # 1693413 Mar 10 14:08

Setting the dihedral between the two halves. 7/8" raised at one end. No wash in or wash-out is called for. Using 5 minute epoxy to set them, and the magnets are keeping everything aligned.

Wing halves almost completed. No ailerons yet.

Putting the wings together. No glue required to this stage, it all inter-locks together.

Especially when you're a pro at building them!

Its an addiction. Isn't it I still get that tingling feeling in the trouser department when I see a new laser cut kit ready to start. Chatting with the guys at aerodromercRc and theyre looking at getting their own laser cutter. They thinking of producing their kits but in a smaller size for static builders at a cheaper price. Could come in handy for us guys....

First nights work. One fuselage.

I especially like the little bass wood box for the landing gear mount point. It's very strong.
jgood, Image # 1688710 Mar 10 17:19

It flies together very quickly.

Metal, magnets and malsa. I mean, balsa.

Work begins on Tyro #4. The kit came nicely packaged from Laser Arts with most of the hardware you need to completed it, other than electronics and covering.
