I think all is working again now. Please leave a comment on a photo somewhere if something you need is not working still.

i jumped ahead before i read this. an cut all this little panels on to the form an strings. what a job that was it came out a little patchy an not a smooths fit as this one. but i think that once i use a filler an primer that hopefully it will look at right

Hi mdmorgan37, Yes I did cut away some of the formers. If you notice the side of the fuse, the 1/16 balsa stringers run front to back. This is where I trimmed the formers. All the other places I just filled in between formers.

Yes Evan your right, George has created a beautiful plane with incredible detail. This was build as a show model. Something that you would hang from the ceiling/roof like a plastic model. Sometimes we use discarded items to create parts of the plane. http://virtualaerodrome.com/image_detail.html?p_aircraft_id=267&p_user_id=431&p_image_id=8607

That's an awesome plane! I can't believe the level of detail!

Verry nice BS... Panel lines are very time consuming...but worth the effort.

Yes logan youre right. Poppy gives a little tutorial on adding panel lines in his F6F Hellcat build if my memory serve me right. http://virtualaerodrome.com/image_detail.html?p_aircraft_id=119&p_user_id=280&p_image_id=3824 He uses a Fabre Castille pen masking tape and a 6inch plastic ruler. Or you can also use a product called Chartpak tape which comes in a variety of widths. http://www.refuelled.com/chartpak-tape-chartpak-matte-tape-c-36_27.html I believe DD used this once... Hope this is of some help. I save the links of tips that these great builders give us in my favourites folder. The last time I spoke to James he was thinking of creating a tutorials page, but he's a busy man...

What do you guys use to make your panel lines? It looks like a fine point sharpie but i'm not sure.

Nope, no working rudder just seperate pieces glued together to give the appearance of a working flight control.
mdmorgan37, Comment for image # 775505 May 08 20:10
ok thanks, i thought that was a working rudders an it had ssomekinda hinge in it
SteveM, Comment for image # 775505 May 08 19:37
mdmorgan37, take a look here to see the structure of the rudder. BS will have to tell us how he covered and attached the rudder to the vertical fin.
