I think all is working again now. Please leave a comment on a photo somewhere if something you need is not working still.

Soviets would take anything we could give them and stole the rest. This is coming along nicely, George.

John, I believe the ruskies bought a couple hundred P-40s not sure what model, but they did fly and crash a few.
John M Oshust, Comment for image # 675323 Feb 08 23:03
Did the Russkies steal a P-40 either actually or in design? They stole everything else!
Barnstormer, Comment for image # 675323 Feb 08 22:43
Everyone does the flying tigers. I think there was some interesting Russian paint schemes?

I like the post that I just posted of The "Texas Longhorn P-40" Why don't you try it?
John M Oshust, Comment for image # 675323 Feb 08 22:38
If my memory is working....and tonight it may not...I always associate this bird with the Flying Tigers. The first time we loved China!

As I remember correctly John O said that his LHS guy said that future treated plastic would not fog up. Well, I can say it is a correct statment.

Still undecided on the paint. Any suggestions?
sweetwillie, Comment for image # 675323 Feb 08 21:42
Glad I could help. Future is really a miracle liquid. It's pure acrylic. If you use flat paint, some decals won't get a smooth surface to adhere. Coat the area with Future and then after the decals dry coat them again with Future and they'll seat real well and are permanent. If you need you can spray the entire mode with flat clear and it'll look spectacular. To remove the decals after coating them with Future, use an ammonia based product such as Windex or just Future. Do a Yahoo Search and you get a whole passel of web sites for modelers using Future. You've got a nice model there. What paint job are you going to use?

Hey John O, a little local vintage from here in Texas. If I can get the %&^& cork unglued I might be able to get the canopy glued on.
Barnstormer, Comment for image # 675323 Feb 08 21:15
Sweetwillie! It was your suggestion to use Future on the clear plastic that worked for me. After dipping my clear plastic in future and letting it dry for 24hrs I was able to tack it in place with CA (with no fogging) and then glue the rest with Testors clear parts cement.
