Always the last thing to do is the underside of the wing. I wanted to assemble this section before I attached the wing but had too much trouble with alignment. The smear is acrylic with a light overcoat of sanding sealer. Not a good thing. |

I cut each piece slightly oversize and bevel the edges so it sort of "plugs in." You want the piece to be slightly higher than the stringers or the formers. It works with Elmers or Testors but I do not recommend using CA as it gets pretty hard and makes sanding more difficult. There are quite a few people doing this with Joint Compound which is substantially cheaper than the Hobbylite. I am going to try this next. |

So I'm guessing you just glue the 1/16 sheets between the stingers with elmers wood glue? |

Three coats of clear 50%-50% with thinner, everything is square. Probably the first time I didn't have to shim or shave to square the wing-elevator. |

Mounted wing and used my Elmers wood filler for the wing-body fillet. |

I switched to the white Hobbylite Filler. Still a pain to work with. |

Bill I sent an e-mail to you, did you receive it? |

My wife just told me how much we will save each year. I might buy more than a Dumas Kit. I do get the munchies though. |

Not only will you feel better, with the money for one carton you can buy any kit Dumas makes. That should keep you busy. |

Funny you should ask, the pack is empty, I quit today. My wife and I are both doing it. Keep busy and walk the dog. |

Just a rough fit to see how everything squared up and was very pleased. Right wing isn't finished just glued in place |

Over here in Holland. Looked at a few hobby shops, mostly high priced Guillow's and boats. Not much unique here for kits. Cold on cold, the sun comes up at 9:00 but the food is great! I gained four pounds in three days. Diet in the states. |

I'm building this for Mike Z. a true friend and one of the best people that I know. it is tedious at times, but it keeps me going. I thank my friend for that. Merry Xmas and a good year to all good men. Unrest and confusion to my enemies. |

I doubled the 3/32 stringers but will sheet in the leading edge. Entire botton is sheeted in 1/32. Merry Xmas everyone. |

Now to start sheeting in the leading and trailing edges. A long ways to go. |

Added reinforcement to the wing root rib F5A as it will see more stress than the others. I doubled this rib on the right side. |

I am adding false ribs on the control surfaces, just started on the aileron. CA glue last about two days unless you sandpaper your fingertips. |

Left wing framed to plan. After I finish the other side, I plan on sheeting the entire bottom and the leading and trailing edge of the top surface. The flap is thinner than the wing root, and I'll build that up a tad. Use 3/16 stringers IAW Dave Duckett style and will double up on the top side. It did add a lot of strength to the wing frame. |
