I agree. You're really doing a nice job on this build.

They look OK from here.

I think they are just great. A little flash is a good thing as the mold was completely filled. A little clean and they will will work just fine. |

First attempt at casting. Honestly, I do better casting when i’m fishing. |

Thank you both for the input. Have tried some of them which gave the area a decent appearance. |

What clear coat did you use? I use Tamiya semi gloss clear and have had success using mild Testors ‘airbrush cleaner’ on a q-tip. You have to wait for the coating to fully cure - then mask the pane or panes you want to clean. Cover the painted frames around each pane that needs cleaning and carefully wipe toward the center of the pane. You dont want to push solvent toward (or under) the tape edges. Work from the middle of each tape strip toward the center of each window and just address the spots where you have a problem. |

I believe you said you painted it with Liquitex, if so try a moist/wet Q-tip using either water or alcohol. I use water. Do it gently but remember some areas might require more effort than others. If you used an enamel or lacquer try using their respective thinners. |

Really made some progress. Clear coat applied, window masks off. Question: how do you clean residual paint off the clear polycarbonate without marring it??? |

I have an old enlarged photo of 909 that I took of the co-pilot standing proudly next to the boarding ladder. When I visited my storage facility awhile back, just seeing it brought back great memories. You mentioned it was personal. How so? If you don't mind my asking..... |

Very nice. I only saw this one once, but was fortunate enough to fly in the EAA's Aluminum Overcast several years ago. |
