| I'm fortunate enough to live just south of the Flying Heritage & Combat Armor Museum in Everett and during the summers (alas, not this year!), the combat aircraft often fly over my house. I've had the joyous experience of seeing B-17s, B-24s, B-25s, Mustangs, Thunderbolts and the occasional T-6 Texan. They all make an amazing sound! Not all of them are owned by the museum, but they often fly in, especially around July 4th and during the SeaFair in August. |

| I saw it several times when they came to Marana, just north of Tucson. On one occasion there was a retired major working with them who had been stationed with me here. And once I watched it take off. It was the first and only time I saw one in flight and it was a beautiful experience. The sound was amazing! |

| On top of balsa: silkspan with 3 coats eze dope 50% dilution. Joints i use balsa filler 2 coats, sand in btwn, eze dope 50%-let dry apply silkspan with 2 coats of 50% eze dope. Sand with 400 grit sand paper. No fumes. |

| Nice work with the filler - are you posing the gear up or down? Or are you going to do retractable gear? |
