I know all about this. See under "billable weight", they charge by the the dimensions of the package. Whatever is higher and works to their advantage, actual weight or dimensional weight, that's what they'll use. I work in shipping and that's how UPS and FEDEX get you by the "balls". |

It arrived last Wednesday but I have heard nothing since. I told Bob it would cost between $800 and $1000 and when I sent it and charged the 1K, he said he was "surprised" because I had said $600-800. He did send the check. No mention of the painting, either. He watched the plane being built from day one and said privately how much he liked it. |
