The spinner is the same color as the band in front of the fin. Just a few more things to do...

Prop installed

2 coats of dope, 2 coats of white acrylic, 2 of yellow , then mask for the black.

The back was done with sandpaper wrapped around my finger. The spinner has slots made of balsa and glued to this insert.

Rough shape with knife, finish with sanding block. Round on top and tapering to the point.

Prop parts. 2 pieces of 3/32" glued together. Holes in spinner made with a hole pinch.

Looking good.

The bottom is not done yet. I like the look of weathering but I prefer to keep mine clean.

Looks fabulous, not a little bit rough. Have you ever thought of weathering one of your models, or do you prefer to keep them 'factory fresh'?

NICE! You got the underside dressed yet? I think on the Spits, the earlier Marks had 3 ports per stack and later ones had six.

Excellent work!! This photo reminds me of the 2/13/60 edition of the Saturday Evening Post, Norman Rockwell's: "Triple Self Portrait".

They're included and are very lightweight but they are a bitch to paint because they aren't molded with a ridge as I would want to go by. I used a circle template and a few hours on them. I would have used the Guillow wheels for their Spit but they are too large. I did order the plastic pieces for the exhaust stacks and noticed on Matt's Spitfire (SWEET) that they are in three's instead of the six called for. The plans suggest using drinking straws so it will be 3.

Nice, a portrait of yourself and a photo of the plane. Were the wheels part of the kit or did yee get them elsewhere?
David Duckett, Image # 370024 Jul 07 09:18

Still a bit rough, like me at 5:15 am

The kit decals, no letters or numbers provided.

The small circle is to provide a constant color under the red and white part of the roundel.

Beautiful backyard scenery. Don't know about the heat, though.

Brush.

A very nice color scheme. Do you brush or airbrush?

And a Ukie is building a Russian plane! The Empennage looks great!
