I think all is working again now. Please leave a comment on a photo somewhere if something you need is not working still.

The balsa is decent, and you are dead on about those plans. Thanks DD. I appreciate the help. The wife is all healed from her surgery, I am getting stagnant. Take care.

You are correct.:-) Confusion is certainly understandable with this kit! I love West Wings kits but the instructions are not easy to comprehend and are the construction is certainly not the standard Guillows fare. Still, I think it looks much better than theirs.

Dave this is my next build. I have a question on that W-1 rib. The kit has 2 W-1 ribs, and the plans show that the wing sections are assembled with only the W-2 rib and somehow it all comes together later. Your build if I am correct uses a double rib on the inboard for the wing assemblies and one more W-1 for the root rib on the body assembly. Did I get that correct? You made 4 extra W-1s? Thanks in advance. Confused in Florida.

Great article. Imagine digging up these planes. Hope they were wrapped well.

Not sure if everyone had seen this: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/defence/9203822/Spitfires-buried-in-Burma-during-war-to-be-returned-to-UK.html What a find!

Of course it's a MK 1 used in front line in 1940 and for training early 1941. It's a realy good photo.

Hm. For a colour photo of this time pretty good quality ... This looks like a Spitfire Mk. I ..?
David Duckett, Comment for image # 351122 Sep 11 08:02
It looks as if I used 1/2" stock for the fill.

For universal. I will need to see the plans to give you an answer. If you click on the "build thread" at the top left of this image you'll get all the photos I took during construction. Perhaps they will be of some help. The instructions are a bit difficult to comprehend in parts.

I believe I got it from ebay. It is available from shortysbasement.com for $39.50.
RTD89, Comment for image # 342023 Apr 11 14:09
Did you have to order this kit from the UK David?
jgood, Comment for image # 342023 Apr 11 13:43
Hey David, GlasgowM&H have a question on the nose of this model. Mike, Harrison, ask David your question here, I'm sure he can help, or at least point you in the right direction.

I'm fine, thanks. This is just disgusting!
