Kevin; Yes, I read the book last winter and it was very good. Can't imagine the 'nads it took to fly those FAC missions. Another chapter in the Nam legacy that is very under-appreciated. |

very early in the shaping and filling process.
sometimes the simplest looking shapes can be deceptively difficult to replicate.
this one has the intake, the spine, and the forward fuselage and canopy / windscreen flanges...getting it smooth along all the seams and bulkheads will also take extra time.
The aircraft will be modeled with the gear down. flaps and slats extended, airbrake extended, and possibly with the canopy open. I want it to look as if it is undergoing pre-flight inspection on the ramp...maybe... |

most of the models and scenery made for FSX will work in Prepar3d (P3D) but not all of it will. |

Mr Good - if you are considering reentry to FSX I would suggest instead that you look at Lockheed Martins adaptation called 'P3D' because it is ongoing development where MS has dropped FSX - also because the latest iteration is 64bit and much better than the old 32bit foundation of FSX

it is an amazing bit of coding for FSX warbirds, enabling everything from various weapons systems, to various radar and and gun sight systems, and lots of new damage modeling - as in target destruction. Seeing the startup procedures in the linked video is a bonus. NavAir has some nice equipment too - CarQuals in the F4, F14, A4, and other aircraft is a hoot |
