I think all is working again now. Please leave a comment on a photo somewhere if something you need is not working still.

I would also like to recommend an excellent book entitled: BOYD, the Fighter Pilot Who Changed the Art of War. In it, the F-100 was described in first-hand narrative including the (in)famous Sabre Dance. Incredible aircraft not to be trifled with.

Gentlemen: I don't know about the control surfaces dropping when power is turned off, as I've got dozens of pictures of the display aircraft with control surfaces up, but then again, the museum staff could've arranged for them to be placed on neutral position. Sky

like the Mustang they built - the main doors would eventually drop down once the hydraulic pressure dissipated in the system after shutdown...so yes the slats which were not hydraulic or electric - they just clanked out at low airspeed, the flaps the main doors, and the speed brake - all dropped. However - I think for this model I am going to stop with the canopy, slats and flaps..I have reached my limit I think for one airplane.

Well, now you've done it!!!!! Will you be dropping the air brakes, as well? Seems I read somewhere that when the power was turned completely off on this aircraft all horizontal control surfaces dropped.

Heywood - you gave it the "old College effort" on the Laird - look how GREAT it turned out!!

I agree with Ray. You can do it.

Kevin; Past performance shows that you can. GO for it:-)

so the panel is installed along with the forward deck - rear deck was installed earlier. I am redoing the forward fillet along with the windscreen fillet to the fuselage. Still much sanding and shaping to do before I can seal the area and begin on the cockpit side panels and the gun sight. Then the seat will need to be detailed. After that...? I have no pilot to put in it which is good because I still have the wings and landing gear areas to take care of. I'm not certain about cutting up the wings at this point. I know it would look amazing with the slats out and flaps down I just don't know if I can pull it off.

Like the wall paper.

working on this primarily - the hinged canopy. A long way to go yet and the windscreen is next along with the panel and gun sight area..

not yet - there is a ton of work to do in there. I keep switching between the cockpit, the LG , and the surfacing work on the fuse, wings and vertical fin..

Looking good. Anything in the cockpit besides the seat? That's what I'm working on now.
