| no - the canopy is now fixed in the closed position. The hinge solutions I had just wouldn't allow enough arc. Then the material kept flexing during the masking process and when I used the filler along the seam where it mates to the fuselage. This caused some cracks in the filler and uneven paint demarcation on the canopy frame. The canopy needed to made of much thicker material - I had even reinforced all of the edges of the clear part with strip styrene and framed the base of both the windscreen and canopy to no avail. As it sits today it is acceptable just not what I was aiming for... |

| Rants are fun every now and then. How did you end up working the canopy? Anything special? As you said, they're really light weight. |
