Quite an collection, especially the F4D Skyray, I've been looking for one that I can build as a static model in VF-74 colors and decals, I'll try to find one at Berkeley. |

Never tried a laser kit before but the results look great. Is that all 1/35 scale armour in the background? Nice stash. Got at least a dozen Dragon and Tamiya kits still lurking in my basement. Ebay has crossed my mind. |

Remember....you always must respect the queen and I'm not talking chess pieces either. That hangar looks quite interesting and should keep you busy for a long while. |

It is a Piper Cub. JGood (sorry, don't remember your first name) is going to add it to the hanger. |

The Hudson is a Cleveland kit. I think it dates to the 40s. It is 3/4" scale, along with the Mystery Ship. The Panther is from the 50s, and it is about 1/15 scale. All thanks to eBay and a very, very tolerant wife. |

That's the funniest looking Ryan ST-A I've ever seen. But this looks great, whatever it is. |

Hudson sounds interesting. Who makes that? |

Also a California Model Products SPAD XIII (it will be in Frank Luke's colors, a local hero) and the Berkely F4D. I'm a sucker for the 1950s jets. There are some solid wood kits in the back as well.
Oh, there are my glasses. |

The jig is heavy plastic scored with a razor saw. The white bar allows the card stock to slide along and stay square to the scoring. I originally made this for the tail feathers for the Guillows Cessna 170. Works like a champ. |

The canopy frame and wing ribs were removed while I work on the cockpit. I kept breaking pieces. A big difference between plastic and wood is plastic models can be test fitted before they are glued together. Wood kits need to be built to some extent, and then maybe torn apart as the need arises. I've ended up removing some of the ribs and replacing them with brass tube to get a more accurate look.
Oh yeah, in the background is my little helper: Dos Equus. |

I found that using "restoration" in the search really turns up some great images. |

Thanks. I'm altering the kit from a stock Cub to an Army L-4 Grasshopper. Primarily that means a longer window behind the second seat. Also I'm adding an interior. |
