creosote, I'm trying to make a prop for my F4B that has a prop of 9'ft. How do I determine the dimensions of a prop in 1/16 scale. |

As I removed the pins, several of the epoxy joints gave way. I'll have to really investigate the silver soldering, especially if there will be any stress on the parts. I may end up going back to wood for this kit. It would be cool to make a Cub using soldered metal tube. |

Sweetwillie, as of this morning (Jan. 29) eBay has a Comet Skyray at auction. Not the Berkeley kit, but still it has the cool hot rod look of the "Ford". |

I think it's fairly safe to say you aren't nearly as twisted as you thought. As Moostang might say, I've seen some roaches in my time but..... |

Nice looking feline and I thought I was twisted! |

He's not very good with the x-acto, and when I reach for a can of spray paint, he thinks it is Raid. |

Once opened, each cubby rests on the ledge. Very stable. And large enough for a full size spray can of paint. |

The drawers are very deep, and the shelves are adjustable. |

My wife found this at an antique store. Whoever had it previously put some cheap oak ply on the top and sides. The rest of the wood is quarter-sawn oak. Not sure what it was used for, but it sure is handy in the model room. |

The control lines are stretchy thread I found at a crafts store. The handlegrips are rolled tape with white glue to seal them. The floor panel is 1/64" birch. It's almost ready for the primer coat. I'm waiting for the hobby spray booth I ordered. |

Again, epoxy. The tubing is soft enough to easily bend to shape. Too heavy to be a flyer, however. |

Most of the material is brass tube. These parts have been assembled using epoxy. I'm researching silver soldering, hoping I don't burn the house down. |
