I have added a circular former to reinforce the vacu spinner and added a .005 circle of plastic to provide a slight seperation between the spinner and cowling.

I cut out the lower wing oil coolers and reiforced them the bottom with 1/16th strips. I will add radiator faces to each.

I cut out the lower cowling intake and added a balsa radiator faced with plastic screen.

The wingtips are filled with balsa, which I think look better thank strips and paper.

I filled most of the nose with scrap balsa, then sanded and flled and sanded and filled and sanded and....

The cutting apart the working plans allows working with smaller pieces on the work board. The built the tail feathers in seperate pieces.

The print wood is lazer cut and the strip stock is excellent quality wood. Vacu parts include the canopy, lower cowling with airscoop, the side airscoop, bubble spinner, wing oil coolers. The Peel and Stick decals include a JG 54 Green Heart emblem. The usual rubber, prop and plastic wheels are included.

Two sheets of excellent bluilding plans with lots of detail that are pirnted on one side allowing you to cut into smaller working pieces.

The picture on the box barely does justice to the kit. The Walnut scale kits are 17 1/2 inch wingspan which makes the 109 a little larger than 1/24th scale.

Dumas gas released four new rubber powered kits in thier Walnut Scale series including a Messerschmitt BF 109G Gustav fighter. I purchased mine from Penn Valley.
