It really was not difficult, I enjoyed seeing it come together. A sharp no.2 blade in a large plastic handled Xacto knife is the secret of doing this. |

Being a tough vac canopy makes it easy to work on and the lack of frame lines makes it easier to use the diagram and get the right size frames painted on. The large molded lines on vac canopies such as Guillows has are difficult to do in the correct size. The Dumas diagram was great to work with, I wish more manufaacturers did the same. |

This is a tough canopy with no molded frame lines, but there is no doubt as to the craftsman, this has the gun moldings that the other one did not. |

Once the brass tubing is pushed into the balsa spinner backing providing a guide for the tubing it can be removed for painting of the gun and spinner. |

The spinner is drilled out to take a brass tubing representing the engine mounted 20mm cannon. |

Yes it is starting to look like a G-6 so maybe its time to go to the paint shop. |

The canopy can easilty be painted as the later Erla Haube Canopy or Galland Canopy as it was sometimes called. |

The Dumas vac canopy fits exceptionally well. |

The Bf 109G was getting heavier and hevier so begining with the G-2 the size of wheels and tires had to be increased which required bulges on the upper wing panels. |
