Converting the Dumas kit of an early Bf 109G into a later Bf 109G-6. The Dumas kit is an excellent kit with a wingspan of 17.5 inches and 1/24th scale is 16.5 inches, very close, only 1/2 inch on the right wing and 1/2 inch on the left wing. |

The only way I can get my low wing planes to fly is by cranking up the dihedral. My best Guillows 500 flyer was a P-40 with nearly double the kit angle. |

thankyou jerry. brian |

As I recall I used the dihedral that the plans called for or at least very close, |

hi jerry, what dihedral did you use for a scale look? |

I just noticed the mistake. Next is a coat of FUTURE to provide a glossy surface for the decals to adhere, |

What is the website for the Techmod Decals??? Thanks, JGJ |

I'm using a Badger 150IL on a Sparmax compressor cut down to 20lbs. It works well to motle free hand although your system would as well. |

Because it is in flight. I hang almost all my aircraft and it looks better as though the prop is spinning. Matter of taste I guess.

Looks real...why no prop?? |

How did you do it? I do it by airbrushing through a small hole in a card. Moving the card in relation to the surface changes the size of the mottle. |

The 1/24th Techmod decal sheet #24011 allowed me to finish my Bf109G-2 as a machine flown by Oblt Herman Graf of 9./JG 52 at Pitomik, Russia, Sept 1942 when he scored his 150th kill. |

The hardest part of finishing was the heavy motle of dark green on the sides of the fuselage and the fin and rudder. |

To get a flat finish I've found that it takes a second coat of Dullcoat. |

With the Klear sprayed overall the decals were added and a coat of Testors Dullcoat was sprayed overall. |

A coat of dullcoat (Klear in the UK) has been airbrushed on. |
