| thanks, Dave - it's another deceivingly simple looking design that takes some diligence to get a handle on..to make it all fair and square as they say. I did the best I could and am satisfied with the results. Those wings though...they are tapered in every direction lol |

| the Gesso really smoothed things out a great deal - thanks for that, Dave. You can really see in this shot in daylight there is essentially no wood grain apparent at all. |

| Thanks, David - our daughter in law had what turned out to be appendicitis - the surgery seems to have gone well. It was a rough 48 hours and lots of uncertainty. Not a lot of sleep for anyone here a few days but I think we’re out of the woods. |

| at this point I have painted all but the spats..and I might just leave those as they are, all red. This has been a real challenge to paint and I got right to the middle of it when my family was dealt a real medical emergency. I'm not sure this is the best way to spend my time anymore. I need to take a hard look at it all. I will post pictures of the completed model in the next day or two. |
