she had been using cardboard boxes and having fun coloring them and cutting doors out (safety scissors etc) but finally just decided to ask me if I could build her one...lol - right in my wheelhouse..I'll be useless with her math homework fairly soon but I can build her a barn any old time |

That's a nice barn and a very lucky granddaughter. |

my little granddaughter wanted a barn for her Breyer horses - I think she already knows poppy is wrapped around her littlest finger lol |

I pre-painted the interior of the walls, front and roof with a white water base paint then assembled the sides and front to the floor. Gorilla wood glue is excellent - strong and surprisingly fast-setting for a wood glue and it dries almost clear. The exterior is painted Rustoleum Dark Red - just a half pint was plenty for the walls, front, and doors. The floor and loft were coated with a water proof clear sealer as is the roof. It dries with a satin sheen. I'm not procrastinating at all... |

I went western, but that was a decade earlier. Friday I became the owner of my own bottle of Gesso, but it will probably be a few months before I get to try it myself. |

Lol - the first wallet I ever owned (I was 7) had a photo of Brigitte Bardot inside - my gramps took me out to the department store and said ‘every young man needs a wallet’ so there we went. I was trying to decide between a ‘Western’ sorta cowboy styled one popular in the ‘60’s when all the tv shows were westerns..or a black, regulation style wallet like the one gramps had. When I opened the black one there was Ms Bardot - sold. |

the sliding doors (main and loft) all work...a little different from my usual work but obviously along the same line. |

the wing struts have been fitted to the model..they'll be attached after the painting is done. Still not procrastinating. I built a barn for the little one and replaced some windows around the house that were old. New double pane, UV tinted sliders in two rooms - 6 window openings. work work work |
