I think all is working again now. Please leave a comment on a photo somewhere if something you need is not working still.

Nutin but the minwax polycrylic...then paint. Foam.... from the garbage at a construction site...all you want for FREE!!!

Did you cover it with 1/2 or 3/4oz fiberglass too, or just the min-wax? I am planning on builing the same thing for my Albatros, and was going to use 1/2oz fiberglass mat with the min-wax. Were you able to find the pink insulation small and cheap? I can only find big expensive sheets.

More like a reptile egg.

This is looking nice!! Does the polycrylic form a hard shell? Similar to an egg shell?

Fabricating the spinner from building foam may be a keeper. It shaped easily. 4 or 5 coats of minwax polycrylic hardened to accept paint easily.

Not completed but getting there.

Snazzy, my Man!!!

Takes a bit of time but sanding for me beats carving.

Air screw shape starts to refine.

An air screw in the rough.
John M Oshust, Image # 2382218 Oct 11 11:48

Trial fit. The air screw needs TLC and the spinner must be inletted.

Hidden in the clamped stack of hardwood veneer is a scale prop waiting to be set "free!"

Cannot remember 40-42 inches methinks.

This is just amazing. What is the wingspan on the beaut???

Working on a spinner. My second attempt at using building foam insulation. So far, so good!

I know its a short kit, and I probably will build it for display only, so I will be adding as many details as i can handle. I was just curious as to what will look good and tight for the rigging. Where did you get the wire for beading from? Thanks again!
John M Oshust, Comment for image # 2380116 Oct 11 11:19
Black beading wire for rigging, beading cable for control wires. Kay's models really do not need rigging to fly. Wires only for detail. When you start building and finishing you will see that my Aerodrome planes only used the kit components for their structure, everything else was scratch built. You have a "short kit"!
