thanks ed, your mosquito is shaping up, alright!

I am, Brian. I posted the plans a couple of weeks ago. It's a Vultee BT-13 (or 15, depending on which motor it has). I've only seen 2 plans and they're pretty basic, so it's going to be a challange.

Nice job where cowling meets fuselage!

thanks don, i found some leftover plastic film from previous model kits. at least that's what i think that was from? are you going to start another trainer that your uncle piloted?

Nice job, Brian. What did you come up with for the rear window?

i got into r/c with my dad in the late 80's and 90's, then got into again in 2010's. i'll probably sell some of my foam planes when things get better, maybe keep a couple to full around with.

I built a lot of 1/5 and 1/6 scale R/C in the 90's as well as 100" gliders. Talk about filling up a house full of models! Sold everything in the early 00's and then got back into balsa just a few years ago. Sure is easier to store these smaller air frames!

thanks ed. i built a couple r/c planes. a house of balsa p-51. got a topflite spitfire waiting to be put together, but need some space for it.

Looking good Brian! I always find the smaller scales harder to build in wood so I tend to go with the larger aircraft. I build a 1/6 scale R/C FW-190 in the 90's. Another of my favorite planes. This is going to be a nice build when you are done!

fin and elevator built.

thanks don, i found some old plastic from other models. i might use that. i'm not good at infilling, carving, or sanding, so will wait and see. that's why i only tissue my models.
Don C, Comment for image # 4285909 Dec 20 10:40
Looking good, Brian. Looking at this, I'd probably just infill between B4 and B5 and sand it smooth

thanks bob.
