I think you're on the right track with the packaging material. I save all my super glue plastic packaging for scratch builds. Some of the other kits have enough spare clear plastic. Looks like a combination of card stock and clear material between B4 and B5. Like Don said you can make it out of anything. |

i built the kit a long time ago, don, the 500 canopy ends at b4 and you have to use a plastic piece to complete it. this is in the 500 series. back then they gave you the piece to complete it. the one now doesn't. the 400 series fw gives you a complete canopy. thanks for you insight don. i might try using packaging material, like you said.

Take a look at the other builds. I think you don't need to follow the curve behind b4, just make it go from b4 back, (the dotted line on the pattern). Cardstock or balsa sheet will work. I looked up pictures of the 190. Didn't see any clear back there.

Looks to me that it should have been part of the canopy. But, since it's not clear, you can make it out of anything, even carve and sand a piece balsa. What does the kit canopy look like? |

it's where it says rear window, in between b4 and b5 and the pattern is at the lower right of the plan. |

thanks Brian - I look forward to seeing your FW come alive here too. The German fighters always struck me as looking the part of the Bird of Prey better than almost every other fighter plane ever produced. |

Brian, can you show a picture of it from the plans?

thanks don, on the 500 fw the canopy has a plastic extension attached to the canopy. i looked on guillows but couldn't find it. i might try some packaging material like you said. |
