Jerry, sorry to say that there are no airfoil plots for this model. It is designed with the "Cracked Rib" airfoil technique. But you really can develop your own set very easily, especially if it is flat bottomed. See my "Lysander" build, starts on page 4. You can use the longest chord length rib as your base curve for all the smaller ribs thereafter. Be sure to ALWAYS start the leading edge of the curve at the same spot (little blue arrow on my curve). Also be sure you make your rib blanks large (tall)enough (the rectangle blanks cut to actual rib length in each position) so that you can just flip the blank over after you've cut one rib and cut an exact duplicate for the other wing side. NOT like I did for the Lysander by cutting one blank for each and every rib. A silly way to waste time by not thinking! ;o0 I'll send you the PDF's. They are full size. These are just to show what they look like.

I printed out the the 210 drawing and while I think I can use them straight off the screen the horizontal format cuts off the right side could you re-post the drawing virtically. I'm not sure The ribs are a piece of cake - I've never tried to do a set of wing ribs - I'm not sure how to go about it. By the way, thanks loads for both sets of drawings.

I printed out the Heinkel He 219 Uhu plans and I think I can blow them up to the size I need and work from them. Is there any chance that there is a second sheet containing the wing ribs. In this size of aircraft I would likely work in 1/32 scale rather than in my usual 1/24th scale. I've always liked the Owl and have a fairly decent selection of photos.

The Lipo batteries don't work well or at all when it's really cold (plastic props get brittle too, so they say). Keep them warm till just before you fly. Don't over discharge your Lipo's. If you do, they're toast. On most all of the arfs out there, the ESC has a voltage cut-off that keeps this from happening, but, if you pull the throttle back all the way, it re-arms the ESC and you have throttle again. This is only for very short motor runs (like getting it closer back to land). If you cut throttle often while you fly, you're likely to ruin a battery. Believe me. I know. ;o) The Trojan is Jimmy's and we fly at least once a week (if it isn't to windy and the to-do's are done). Phil

i tried flying my micro t-28 in dec. or jan., it flew briefly then the engine cut out. do you think these maryland winters are too cold for the components of the plane? have you flown your trojan lately?

Sorry Brian, missed this one. Kinda busy lately. This is "Snake Hill" off of Muhulland hwy just east of Los Virgenes (Malibu) Cyn. Rd. We also fly not far from here at what we call "Kanan", well, because it's off of Kanan Rd. There are many, many spots for both slope and thermal gliders around us. The .5 mm should do O.K. Remember that your flow is greater, so the possibility/probability of developing runs as well as more overspray increases greatly. The basic round spray pattern of your typical airbrush really compounds the problem over large areas. BUT, if you have some cash to burn, this Bad Boy would be the ticket. http://www.iwata-medea.com/index.php/products/k_th/ I haven't bought one yet because lo and behold as I am getting older I am realizing the difference between "Want" and "Need". Plus, like DD, I do enjoy using a paint brush more. Phil

i got a tamiya .3mm brush, what size tip would i need for big models? preferably in tamiya or badger. tamiya got a 0.5mm wide brush, would that do it?

BrianKilby, I think I remember that the medium green took about four light coats to finally get full coverage over the light base. The smaller airbrushes are'nt the best choise for doing large areas. This was a little model so it really didn't matter.
