It's a good thing that I had the seat done before my ISU Cyclones lost in the first round of the NCAA: Depressing. But, like a true fan, I drink to celebrate or to forget. Seat made of Basswood with bits of solder and medical tape for the seat belts.

the good "old" Future isn't around anymore. The new stuff is called "Pledge (with Future shine)". When I found out that the real stuff was going the way of the Dodo, I bought three bottles of it. Don't know if it has a shelf life or not.

It is in 3/4" = 1 Ft. (1/16) scale. I like to build in a consistent scale so my (future) scratchbuilds will fit in with the Guillows kits.

To prevent CA from fogging the plastic, dip the canopy in Future floor polish first. Probably any clear acrylic would work. (experiment first, of course. You can't believe everything you read on the internets.)

Excellent work. What scale is this?

Thanks and thanks for sharing this. I have never seen a frozen lake:-)

As a counterpoint to DD's great pictures of spring in the desert: Lake Okoboji still frozen solid today.

Completed Instrument panel. Warning lights are Styreen rod with Tamyia clear colors. The toggle switches are Styrene tube with fine solder as the bats. Now on to the side consoles and ejection seat.

After some springtime chores, I got back to the cockpit detailing. The instruments have been reduced using Paint (a tedious trial and error process) and teh bezels were fabricated out of styrene.

Couldn't find a picture of a B.E. 12 w/rockets, but this will get the point across. Wonder how they lit them off?
