I think all is working again now. Please leave a comment on a photo somewhere if something you need is not working still.

Looks great dispite the Guillows crap, I'm working on a mini lumber yard inventory also.
John M Oshust, Image # 494704 Nov 07 19:55

The top is almost there. Guillows calls for pieced stringers. Fortunately my "mini lumbar yard" yielded stringers that can span the wing in one piece....but I must mark and cut notches as Guillows forgot!

Wayne pops a bird to the Guillows Co. The wing spars are not even marked, in fact outside of the shape, nothing was marked the F3s are FUs! I want to build a few more from Guillows but as a last resort!

Misty enthusiastically observes wing constuction....he will not it Guillows balsa he says it tastes like sh__!

Wayne Johns guards the basic wing layout. Guillos wood sucks! I should have bought plans and fully scratch build the Spirit!

Amazing...what ingenuity!!! Take a bow.
John M Oshust, Image # 492703 Nov 07 19:34

It is hard to turn the prop and take a pix...but you get the idea...bearing success!!
John M Oshust, Image # 492603 Nov 07 19:32

Prop and spinner free to turn.

Decide not to buid a wing...a gyro-copter instead!

Look close on the rear of the shaft. You can see how the bushing locks the shaft. This assembly slides thru the nose plg, engine, and firewall. Adab of CA locks the bushing to the wood , but the shaft turns free.

One tube over another. The larger tube also furnished a bushing to secure the prop shaft.
John M Oshust, Image # 491803 Nov 07 19:24

Squaring the prop shaft. Shaft is a brass tube that will fit snugly into a brass bearing.

poppy thank you! Broke two drill bits putting this together. The spirit nose evvolved from manufacture to the flight. Maybe this is a "hybrid"! Micro rule...outside of the dividers I used I "eyeballed the whole front assembly. Where can I put a MG?

Looks very good to me. Nice turning on the spinner.

I do not have a picture of the Spirit in front of me, nor a micro-rule, but I would say this is perfect! Actually, perfect isn't even a good description. My hat is off to a true master modeller, my friend. This one ought to be in a glass case somewhere.

Wow!!!, Just WOW!!!, Just WOW!!!.
John M Oshust, Comment for image # 490702 Nov 07 22:06
I forgot to mention...131 hrs into the spirit at this point.
John M Oshust, Image # 490702 Nov 07 22:01

Three days till the turkey hunt...plenty of time to make a bearing so that the prop will spin!

Jg, DD, poppy, moos...opinion...do I have to shorten the cowl a bit or will this do?
