Looking down at 'home'. The MacArthur causeway is at the very bottom of the image, the Venetian causeway is next up, then you can see the Julia Tuttle causeway, and in the distance, the JF Kennedy.

This ones a little scary... I think this is close to 1000 feet.

Out at the field this morning. A lovely 'no wind' morning.

My Canon weighs about 9 oz and 2.2 oz of that are the NiMh batteries. If you haven't done so yet, you could probably shave some weight by using smaller/disposable batteries. Structurally I'd think you are ok if you have good supports running over to the plywood formers (F3 and F4). Maybe a sheet of ply across the bottom of the fuse to add strength.

This Pentax Optio camera weighs 4.1oz and my new Canon weighs 6.6oz. It balances OK, and the new camera fits on the same mount. I wonder if it'll be OK structurally...

I stayed at that Marriot once! I got to hang out with James for quite a while, even got to fly with him. Had a blast! James is a top-notch fella.

James, where do you begin and end your flights, because with photos like these, I can't believe NORAD is scrambling their defenses. These are just amazing images. Seems like they finally topped out on the Marquis.

Amazing, just simply amazing!! I love these pics! I've only been to Miami once on a business trip, but I feel as if I've been there many times. Keep 'em coming, me lad.

OOOh, I am jealous to say the least.

John. Once I've decided to come in, I just cut the power and glide in. So it'd be no problem at all if I lost power. Actually, once, the motor broke loose and came down on it's own! Even with the CofG change, the ole Tyro was quite controllable. What I worry about would be loss of radio contact, or a broken wing spar... Luckily my radio has been very reliable, and the Tyro wing is plenty strong enough for the camera.

What would happen if you ran out of power? Some one would be in for a shock. Great photo!

Out flying early this morning, James? I just simply can't imagine this. Where I live I can see two houses and this morning it's cloudy and actually looks like it might rain. As John O might say, go figure. I really love all these aerial shots. Bring that puppy to Arizona!!

Floating up around 700 feet high, just peeking over the top of Marquis, the tallest building North of downtown Miami.

They're talking about bringing the USS JFK Carrier into this dock. That'll be cool! The American Airlines Arena is to the left, and US1 runs through the image.

Where I live, in the middle, this morning.
