It looks like it came through them unscathed, Mr. Master of electrics.

Do you have an altimeter in your planes? I see your point, if you lost a plane in the swamp the "critters" may get you when you looked for it!

I don't think this is that high - it was too windy, I was really fighting it! Plus, I knew I couldn't recover anything if it went in anywhere else other than the runway. I guess this is about 150 - 200 feet? Some of my pics are from 800 or 900 feet though.

Tranquil man-killers, hmmm. Yah, how high would you say the plane is?

Damm your models really get up there!

Watch out for gators, creepy crawlers, and snakes!

Ahhhh!!! YESSSSS!! I love the swamp!

It may be flat, but it's one amazing place, this National Park. Nothing else like it. So much amazing wildlife. So tranquil there too.

Ah yes, the endlessly flat horizon of FL. Some day I'll have to strap a camera on my Tyro too.

After a few quite windy flights.

Hey, if you are having problems with your wheels you might want to try some Trexler wheels, I have some 1 7/8" wheels on a rubber powered Guillows Arrow and it now rolls MUCH better, even on grass! http://stevensaero.com/shop/home.php?cat=479

Yes, I've had problems with the tyres popping off recently. Must fix that. It lands on the hub OK though, just a bit noisily!

She looks crippled! Hope she made it in O.K.. When you fly the Tyro, is the camera alway with aboard? And did I understand the camera has an infra-red trip switch?

I think I have printed most all of your pics. When I show them to friends and relatives, they cannot believe these came from a model airplane!! This is a fabulous way to show what an art building and flying model planes really is. As Ed Sullivan would say,"This is really, really good!"
SteveM, Comment for image # 607424 Jan 08 16:33
Oh, I get it. The camera is manufactured with a built in IR receiver for remote control.
