I think all is working again now. Please leave a comment on a photo somewhere if something you need is not working still.

Actually, no, I don't use a servo. It's a small infrared remote release which hooks directly into the aircraft's receiver and listens on one of the channels. So, no mechanical adjustments to go wrong and help miss a great shot!

I take it you remove the "shutter release" button and replace it with a relay controlled from a channel of the radio? That's a pretty good plane if it can carry that kind of payload. Looks like you managed to find about the only sunny spot around the area too.

Hey John, it's a blind shot. I control the shutter from the transmitter, but it's a lot of guess work and good luck to get a good shot. The camera goes up there with a Gig of memory to use, so I can take many many shots, and some will be OK!

James...Can you see what the camera sees as you fly to compose these photos, or is it just a blind shot?

Downtown Miami. You can just see the American Airlines arena in the bottom of the shot. Notice the bank of fog in the distance.

Looking North East over the 836 freeway, across Biscayne Bay.

About 700 feet up, in front of the Marina Blue and 900 Biscayne condos.

The machine, with the camera slung underneath on the inverted tripod mount.

Misty morning in Miami today...

I envy you, James. I've always wanted to fly, but was too lazy to take up flight lessons. Another bit of evidence of my wasted youth. REGRETS---REGRETS!!!

Ooops, the items didn't come out as two items. Should be: (1) Guillows Series DC Scale Models (2) Scratch Built B-52H Thanks, Al

Hi James, tried to email you, but messages bounced. Could you add these two items to the aircraft list: Guillows Series DC Scale Models Scratch Built B-52H Thanks, Al

Thanks John. I'm not sure in this shot (500 feet?) but I think I've had it up to about 800 before, going by the known heights of skyscrapers, and if I'm level with their tops.

James...youskills as a RC pilot amaze me again. What is the approx altitude of the plane?

I think my radios are FM. In the US, you have to use 72MHz, trotro. If I were starting out again, I would use one of the new 2.4GHz systems - there are no crystals and in theory, no risk of colliding frequencies out at the field.

james i got a question the radios that work on AM are good to begin my system?

Thanks chaps. It was nice to get out there again this morning, the wind hasn't been cooperating here for a while (too much of it!).

James, your photos are amazing. Ditto JO on flying skills.
