"Monkey Motion". Although I have computer design software, figuring out geometries is pretty darn fun this way too. The green pins are stationary hinge points and the yellow are move. #1 is the push-rod from the servo. #2 is the Bellcrank and #3 in the connecting rod to the wing pin, The crosshatch area is the movement I am after. |

My favorite part of the hobby: (bones of an aircraft). Very nice! |

Denmark still. Was able to fly the "Thermite" at the beach today. Built this years ago. It's somewhere here on VA squeezed into another build. |

Horizontal Stabilizer. Laminate, Notch, Fit rib blanks.... This wil be a "Full Flying" Stabilizer. The Sub-ribs will be trimmed to length after the ribs are notched for the 1/6" square spruce spars. I wil be curved to match the wing spar. The airfoil will be shaped free-hand after everything is bonded. |

I like to watch youtube channel "Maxfliart". Freeflight modeller. Some with builds. A very skilled builder. He's had a couple "Fly-aways". |

Well, it's a good way for a model to go. Flying off into the world with no bounds...Freedom...Wheeee!! |

That's a great place for a vacation. I lost a foamy a few years ago by getting it too high and out of range. Last seen heading East over Chesapeake Bay. |

David, I concur. Heath habitat. The North Sea is about one mile away, of which one half mile is beach/sand. Needless to say it is pretty windy here. There was a slight lull so I tossed the "Holiday" and hoped for the best. Brian, I try to stand over a soft spot in case I fail to catch it! |

"I don't think we're in Kansas anymore!" |

Since this is still on the "Holiday" build thread... I was able to fly the actual "Holiday" from the original build hereon VA in Denmark. So this model was framed up in Maui 10 years ago, finished in California, and now has flown "Internationally"! It must have about 600+ flights on it. I just gave it a rebuild so it should go another few hundred. If the Wind and Radio gods allow it!! haha |

I really admire your ability to do that. |

Brought some stuff to Denmark to build the tail feathers. I used a computer for the wing design predominantly to ensure the correct critical airfoil profile sizes so I could print them out accurately. But for the tail feathers I just draw them out freehand, cut paper outlines, set them on the floor and trim them until they "Look about right". |

WOW! I don't know if I've ever seen that many kits in one place. Not even in a Hobby store! Impressive! |

You're going to need a bigger work room. :) |
