| well said, David. It's the laying out of things in your mind - like the way you lay out the materials, the work space, the references, and all of it. It matters, the time in between tasks - maybe more than the tasks themselves. |

On procrastination: Except for the tea it's been like this for three days. The paint I need is ready, the Bose is perfect for the studio, and all I need is a fresh cup of water. But...things like this, basically made from scratch, require careful contemplation. I think looking at what you are making is an essential part of the creative process and the more you look the more you know how to do it, like one of those moments when the light comes on over your head. I now know the approach I'll use but this isn't work and I'm in no hurry. |

| Many thanks. I have four that need to be finished and four in boxes and a whole stash of canvases that haven't been touched since we moved here but for now I think I'll just kick my feet up and drink green tea.:-) |

| Thank you. I mixed matte medium in the paint which does not make it flat but does give the slight sheen you see, sorta like what you get with a spray marked satin. |
