DD,euthanized is correct. My mind thought of it but there was a glitch between brain and fingers. Hind sight says that a firey send off would have been in order. At the time my temper and frustration prompted a digital destruction. After the hours spent, looking at the carnage, I realized what it must feel like when a flying model crashes beyond repair.

Were there explosives or flammable materials involved? You know, a Viking send off.

I think that should be "euthanized". Oh well, as the pilots in the Air Force say, "You have to expect losses when you fly the big ones." My condolences.

A new Klaus II is in transit. Hopefully I will not make the same structural errors again. While awaiting delivery, I am building components that were not part of the execution. Here is the dummy Siemens Halske 11 cylinder and the makings of a cowl.

The Klaus seen here no longer exists. I was not happy with the product. I made errors that were irreversible. I could not mount the wings in a proper fashion. Klaus was euphemized yesterday.

With deep regret I trashed Klaus today. I made too many errors and the product would not be to my liking. Maybe I was working too fast or the kit was beyond my current ability. I am considering building model ships!

Another big bird comes along nicely. This one must have been more tricky to fly than the DR-1!
