This one *really* made me laugh. Right now I will go down into our cellar to look for my old hat .... :-)
Beautiful plane, anyway. |

Dry fitting the wings. |

My Grandfather used to say "John, when you have a problem to solve always wear a hat...it stops your brains from leaking out of your ears!" |

This time while thinking I wore a hat! |

The acessories from Klaus one seem to work on Klaus II....I hope! |

As yogi Berra once stated "deja vu all over again!" Wings are tipped and basic fuse framed. |

Wasn't it an inanimate carbon rod that saved Homer Simpson's life in the Space Shuttle? |

I'm sure they'll be nice and strong now. Plus, they should be held rigidly together with the struts and wires binding it all together. |

James, the kit was designed around carbon rods. Remember this is a flying model. The wings were to flappy with the wood dowels. I thought wood would work on a static model. The span is 42 inches, no spars, only the dowels. |

Why were the wooden dowels a problem, John? These new wings look very nice... |

The lower air foil is the foundation for the others. This wing has teeth! The carbon rods make it very true and strong! |

Two wings down one to go. Using carbon rods for Klaus II corrected my first construction erro on Klaus I. K1 I used wooden dowels. |

Carbon rods make the wings straight, rigid ,and very strong. These air foils should mount and align true. |

A different perspective of the nose assembly. |

Cowl, engine, and prop completed. Now all I need is the kit to construct Klaus II! |
