Since I intended to sheet the wings in balsa, I tried an uncoventional construction method. Wing tip will be soilid. Top covered with balsa. One down, one to go!

I mount the prop on a tube or piece of wire, glue it on. This shaft passes thru another tube. After it is inserted, I use a small pieces of the bearing tubes as a stop. It is glued to the shaft, behind the bearing. If you hold the bearing tube the prop, shaft and stop should spin. The assembly goes into the nose. Glue is placed on the outside bearing tube. Now the assembly is mounted to the nose and cannot fall out but the prop , shaft, and stop can still spin.

okay I lied. How/when do you attach the prop stop...before you cover, before you add the prop? Sorry I just can't see it in my head yet.

ALL of my props and wheels spin. Main thing avoid gluing them on!

Novice Builder is VERY impressed with the cowl work. She thought that it was plastic... Very nice work, I had to scroll back thru to show that U did it the HARD way

Very nice work on that cowl John, but I still say it is a shame to cover that engine!

I have noticed that most of your props are made so they can spin. What's a good way to do that?
