Finally got my backordered motor mounted and got the cowling penetrations done. (The picture gremlin strikes again).

I just watched the Youtube video you provided the link to. Historic indeed. Thanks for sharing that.

Some 'very well done flying sequences' staring Dad! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PpS4ruBsMjs

Yes we saw that - very well done flying sequences - brought back some memories!

I would love to fly one. They have one at The Military Aviation Museum here in Virginia Beach, VA, where I was able to fly a 1941 Stearman N2S a few weeks ago. There is a series on Netflix called "The Crown." At the beginning of season one, episode four, there is a beautifully filmed video of Prince Philip taking his first flying lesson in a Moth complete with a dead-stick landing. Gotta love it.

That is a very near to true scale corrugated fuel tank surface Biplane Guy - The DH82a is my fav. aeroplane -I learnt to fly in one in 1960!

Found some corrugated plastic sheeting for the fuel tank. Once heated it bent nicely to conform to the tank shape. I hope to secure it with a spray adhesive.

I agree with both Poppy and Last; this is one beautiful model. Excellent job well done.

I find it quite interesting, just how you expert R/C modelers, really know how and where to stiffen up an air frame, giving a picture of such fine, eloquent "bones".

Beautiful!!

One Tiger Moth ready to cover.

I don't know who the actual manufacturer is, Anders. I ordered it from Hobby King and the box says it was made in China. The wood is great, parts fit almost perfectly, only problems were laser-cutting on some of the sheets that didn't go all the way through and some part numbers that were incorrect. The leading edges, interplane struts, and wing joiner tubes are all carbon fibre.

Looks good! Carbon fibre leading edges ? Who makes this kit?

Waiting for the electronics before adding the sheathing and Solartex covering. With a 1400mm (4-1/2') wingspan she's pretty big.

That looks nice!

Brilliant design. All those cutouts, besides reducing weight, make it a snap to clamp the sides and the formers together with clothes pins. The all-plywood construction and snug-fitting components make for a framework that is sturdy, straight, and true. Nice kit so far.
