Biplane: this is incredible work! I wanna be just like you, when (if ) I grow up. Fantastic attention to detail. You've set this model as a standard that will be difficult for others to match and this is a stick-n-tissue model from Guillows! |

Now I find out.... Sure wish I had this photo when I was building the PT-17. Had a vague idea from my past experiences seeing other biplanes and as an A & P, but nothing compares to the real thing. Great picture by the way. I guess I must echo many of us modelers who bemoan the old adage, "If only I knew now, back then..." |

The original brakes were a bladder that pushed the shoes against the brake drum. Cleveland ( mfg ) conversion makes them into disc brakes. Much more efficient. |

Sky, you are too modest my friend. The seat belts in your PT17 were an inspiration. |

I'm afraid I wouldn't know a Cleveland conversion from a Cincinnati conversion. I just modeled this from a picture I just posted. But thanks, Huey, for that info, you VA members are a fount of knowledge and I am blessed to have you as a resource. |

FAA approval to use something other the OEM parts. They were bladder brakes originally. You must have the Cleveland conversion there? |

Biplane...!! This is fantastic! I wanna be just like you when I grow up. The cockpits are truly nice, clean, sharp, and impressive. The seats and seat belts are really eye-popping. My weakness is seat belts and you've done it great. |
