It took a few too many dives. It was my first balsa kit in a long time. I'll build it again soon. Your right about the aluminum. I found some foam to use as coaming around the openings.

Great photos, Creosotewind!!! Thanks for sharing them. Is that a Wright Whirlwind?

If you need other detail images, let me know. Lots of other planes as well. (I have a very tolerant wife). Jim

Creosote, this looks tremendous. I only hope I can finish mine let alone getting it to look like yours. I'm assuming that you used the aluminum around the cockpit opening. Why does the plane no longer exist?

I just got back from vacation. The Palm Springs Air Museum and the USS Midway should be definite visits for any aircraft buff. I took lots of photos of their Stearman, Corsair, Dauntless and others. I'll post some, but if you need anything particular, let

Nice!

Also for Poppy. The white metal engine and the Williams Bros. engine. Both 9 cylinder radials. You can have both. (in real life, they aren't blurry.)

For Poppy. This is cast white metal by a friend of mine. Includes the prop. Yours for the asking. (1/32 scale)

Maybe this time will work. The star is sheet metal, about 30" dia. The flight helmet, photo and 8th airforce patch are things I've acumulated over time. The plane no longer exists. I used Williams Bros. cylinders for the engine, and aluminum from a Coke c

Was your picture too big? If so it needs to be re-sized. This happened to me too when I tried to upload a 3 megapixel photo once. Officially it needs to be at 1024x768 or below, although I've always uploaded mine as 2 megapixel (1600x1200) images and they all appear correctly.

Email James Good direct..he'll help straighten you out. Took me awhile to sort it out, but, James took care of me.

Obviously I am doing something wrong. Are the images supposed to be jpegs? This would be 72dpi, but it didn't upload. Jim
