I think all is working again now. Please leave a comment on a photo somewhere if something you need is not working still.

This completes the basic structure except for the fin/rudder which is basically half the stabilizer/elevators.

Ready for filler

The T Bar sander has P 150 grade (?) sandpaper and is very effective for the flat planes of the wing.

L-R, the infill, the infill sanded, and most of the holes filled with glue and sanded.

The rest will be done with 1/8" stock.

Yes, very well! When I have used 1/32" wood to sheet it always looks as if I had just used really thick silkspan. All the stringers still showed! The repetitive nature of infill makes me very glad the local paper mill didn't give me a job out of high school. The idea of doing the same thing over and over with your hands 8 hours a day with few, if any, breaks would have driven me nuts. You know when you start something like this it will take time but that's why we are doing it in the first place. Cheap thrills, really:-)

This is looking good! I have found no shortcut to infill method. Time and patience, but it is really easy once you get the hang of it, and the final results are well worth the effort. I used to sheet my models, both fuselage and wings. But after seeing David's work I only infill the fuselages now, but still sheet the wings with 1/32" choice balsa. This method works well for me.

Wing roundels are from the Guillows 400 Spitfire kit.
