I think all is working again now. Please leave a comment on a photo somewhere if something you need is not working still.

Once the air scoop was in place, the nacelle is glued in place. The red, for left, line is the center piece and laminations are glued on both sides to make the fill.

The plans do say it was made of plywood and balsa, with balsa used in the coring but I don't know what that means.

Gentlemen, I thank you. It is an honor to be in your presence. I do have lots of interests and I'm extremely thankful that I can enjoy something in my old age that is just as much fun and as satisfying as ever. It's especially comforting to know that a canvas or a box of balsa can keep me entertained for days. At night I can step out the back door, look up about 80 degrees, and see the Big Dipper. On most nights one can see the Milky Way and watching the planets move across the sky is eternally fascinating. When I was younger the walls would shake from the stereo while I was painting, and drinking. These days painting and model building are done with only the ticking of the clock and the wind outside but snippets of Mahler symphonies and Strauss tone poems and Desolation Row float effortlessly through the mind and bring smiles at the memories they evoke. :-)

The full-size Mossie had balsa in it's construction too David (I expect all you guys know that!)

The landing gear door area has been cut out and a floor of sorts installed which will serve as the base for the installation of the gear. The air scoops were made with laminations. They have one coat of filler and are sanded to shape.

These are 2" 1/64" plywood discs made by Ted to insure the front remains a circle. He also made a couple more which will be used for the base of the spinners.

The nacelles have wood added to their tops where they meet the wing. One half inch of balsa has also been added to the front of each.
