Used my Browning Traditional hunter 45-70 yesterday to end my season, 5 points. Those iron sights are getting tougher for old eyes, especially on gloomy days, not to mention the tin knee.

This one is asleep. Bear season in PA first week after turkey day. Waiting on a new 45-70 pea shooter for the occasion. This one ran into an arrow in WVA. Not my effort but that of my rent a son. Camp meat for deer camp in PA.

Looks like you are a step ahead of me. All antlerless so far. How's Blackie the Bear?

Rayl, Thanks for the great gardening tip. Suction of a shop-vac. Learning something every day. However if a fact went into my noodle something is displaced out! It's the Kelly Bundy Axium applied to my neurons. Eating morning glory seeds does that to you!

A dear friend gave me seeds for a Moon Flower plant once. It grew startling well the first year and the second year I had volunteer Moon Flowers all around the front of my house. I chopped the sucker down and spent an afternoon using the shop-vac in my flower bed & front yard to make sure that I didn't miss any of the seeds. I sure that the neighbors had an entertaining afternoon watching me vacuum the yard. They are very pretty plants, just not for me.

I knew of its toxicity but do not tell the wife! Perhaps it contributes to my problem of differentiating between fantasy and reality. When one gardens beyond the ordinary, your garden contains a cornucopia of toxic and hallucinogenic plant varieties. OSHA would have a field day in my gardens.

Also called Datura, and the seeds are extremely poisonous. We have one in our yard also.

We call it a butterfly bush. Thanks looked it up, a Buddleia. Learn something every day. My problem now is ...a fact goes in and another fact goes out! I am functioning on deficit spending. I must be a member of Congress!!

The sky in PA is wonderful. If you view the sky at the appropriate time. In this case 4:30 AM! Recently, the Perseids provided a show with audio provided from owls and coyotes!

Thanks. Just being in the right place at the right time is golden! Wether it's a "brownie" box camera or a Nikon, timing is everything!
