I think all is working again now. Please leave a comment on a photo somewhere if something you need is not working still.

That detail is amazing

Another 5 hrs and the rigging is 75 % finished. My love of bi-planes is waining!

Rigging, another great hing about bi-planes. Boris and Yegor watched as I perfected the technique. I tried a string, but floral arrangement wire was a success! Each side received two strands. A lot yet to do but Uncle Carlo slowed me down!

Mortice and tennon joints hold the popsicle stuts to the roof flashing tennons in the wings,

Tomorrows task is to tie the upper and lower wing ailerons together or start the rigging.

Upper wing permanently mounted with Epoxy. Boris and Yegor are satisfied with the strength and symmetry.

Aileron hinges, contol cables and cranks installed, now to permanently attach the upper wing.

Not conscripted...hired. I am afraid of the Albanian terrorists here in NJ. I must do my part for National Security. The Camel could be a lethal weapon.

It looks like you are recruiting (or are they conscripted?) a whole squadron.

Boris and Yegor tesion the elevator and rudder cables.

Boris tests the contol linkage to the rudder and elevator

Living in NJ I was afraid that my Camel could be stolen by Albanian terrorists. Think what those machine guns could do at a ball game. Meet John (left) and Wayne (right). My Camel security force!

Guards are upon them!

When my uncle Stan told me I would never be able to build a stick airplane I was 12 or 13 and I believed him!!!

Thanks, that means a lot

Bi-lingual Boris gets a laugh. He knows that Yegor cannot read English...or Spanish!
John M Oshust, Image # 285910 May 07 21:53

Boris applies a coat of paint to the lower surface of the upper wing. Rollers do make the task much easier!

Yegor and Boris stop work for a bit and admire their Green Cards! They finally arrived today!

"You will, young man, you will!" I'll second that! Patience is like fine wine...it gets better with age. Its good skills you are learning now (reading prints, instructions, working with tools and materials, etc. let alone not to breath in too much airplane dope!)that will stay with you forever, even if you put down airplane building during your early adult life and don't pick it up again for 20 or 30 or 40 years, these skills will probably help you out sometime in your professional career also. OK, back to plane building!
