I anchored the string to a starting point then threaded it thru a small hole in the strut. The weight holds it taught and glue it into place. I hope this is helpful.

Yes my love of machine guns....really misss them on the Spirit. Maybe I should make it into a combat version. Do you all remember Boris? He is now on permanent Camel duty at the ranch.

Wrong air corps, spandaus were German. The Camel had 303 Vickers. In my case the TF1 (trench Fighter) wound up with four!
