Thank you Mr. Don C. Only thing is, the S.E. 5 is land based. I think I'll switch towels after this model. Perhaps a red? White? After all, I've started on the first of the three patriotic colors, might as well as go with red and then white to complete the theme.

I've been trying to get a picture of my DHC-2 on something that looks like water. You may have the answer here.

Thanks Huey. It's much appreciated. Does your friend also collect information on all types of biplanes, or just the WW I types? Sounds to me like he's a valuable source of information. Really would like to know what those "latches" are as they seem to be unique to the S.E. 5 and no other biplane.

Well spoken Mr. DD. Well spoken indeed. Thanks Biplane. Looking forward to that certification. Guess I got "...them Blues..."

Sky, if I can get ahold of him, I have a friend over in Greenville Pa who's big in WWI. He has a Camel and a DR1 ( with an 80 hp Lerone ). He my know what the clips are. Theses are full scale.

In comics, if Superman's hair were pure black you would see only black and not be able to identify it as hair or anything else as it would have no definition.

You have to remember to color-coordinate your towels and your aircraft if you want your OCD certification, Sky.

Ahhh, all that blue is reflecting off of the .... (ahem) blue towel. Sorry guys.

Looking at this picture, its kind of weird how light plays off of the colors. The fuel sumps were painted flat black, yet in this photo, has bluish hues; kind of reminiscent of those original Superman comic books of the 1950's where his hair is supposed to be dark black, yet has bluish hues. The leading edge of the top wing is supposed to be olive drab, yet it too, looks like its blue.

Used epoxy. Superglue had nothing to "grab on."

Pulling the fine wires apart and testing my eyeballs....

Tube beads glued at the ends. Now threading the ultra fine wire through both ends.

Added the back end. Tweezers lend to scale.

Cut small pieces from glossy paper and used MicroMark rivet decals

Gathered some material of various beads and wire of different gauges.
